  • Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom for each class which will be updated daily. Parents: If you have not already done so, please send a teacher your email address to be added to your child's Google Classroom account as Guardian and you will receive emails about which assignments your child has due and which ones are incomplete or overdue.
  • Students took the Reading MAP test last week and will take the Math MAP test this week. Look out for a letter coming home with your child's MAP scores.
  • All students should have taken the Achieve 3000 Levelset Test which determines their Lexile Level. If you have not already seen a Lexile letter from your child be on the lookout for one this week.

8th Grade Team Coastal Carolina

Welcome to Team CC! We are excited to have you joining our team, as a student or parent, and we are certain this will be a wonderful 2016­2017 school year! Parents, we’d love to get to know you more so please make contact with us at your convenience and tell us more about your student! Students, look forward to a fun and knowledge filled year with us. There is contact information for each teacher listed in their biographies below.

You will find our individual teacher pages as well as our team calendar linked on the left side menu. Please do not hesitate to contact any of us or schedule a parent-­teacher conference as needed for any reason whatsoever.

Supply List

For this school year, team members are expected to come to school with the following supplies. We realize they are somewhat different from the Northwoods supply lists found in stores but these are specific to OUR TEAM only.

Pencils & Erasers (all subjects)
Colored Pencils (Science)
One highlighter, any color (ELA)
Notebook paper (all classes)
2 packs of index cards (ELA)
One pack of glue sticks (to be used in ELA & Science)
One roll of clear Scotch tape (Science)
Binder or folders, any size, to keep/organize papers, notes, & handouts (all classes) Dry erase marker (for use with individual whiteboards in Math)
3 Composition Notebooks (NOT spiral bound, one each for Math & ELA & Social Studies) 1 spiral bound Notebook (for use as interactive notebook in Science)

Extra Supplies:

The following are not required supplies but we would be extremely grateful for donations: tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, small hand held pencil sharpeners, small metal rulers, post­it notes, dry erase markers & pencils.

All students will be assigned school­ owned textbooks for each subject area.

Students who lose materials will have to pay a fine according to the material(s) cost. Textbooks and materials should be brought to class or kept in lockers as instructed. Textbooks from some classes may be taken home as necessary to complete work.

In Math & ELA each student will also be assigned these supplemental materials:

  3. Glencoe Math 3 V2
