Ms. Lewis recently served as principal of Oakbrook Middle School in Dorchester District Two, where she led transformative improvement efforts. Under her leadership, the school’s South Carolina State Report Card rating improved from Average to Excellent within three years, reflecting a 12-point gain in overall performance. She also guided Oakbrook to national recognition as a 2025–2026 AMLE School to Watch and fostered a culture of excellence that earned consecutive Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction honors.

Known for her strong focus on data-driven decision-making, Ms. Lewis has consistently aligned instruction, interventions, and professional learning to meet student needs and close achievement gaps. She has built high-performing collaborative teams and strengthened family and community engagement, which led to measurable gains in trust and satisfaction, including increasing parent climate survey results from 52.2% to 80.2%. She has also overseen comprehensive middle school athletic programs, strengthening established teams while expanding opportunities to increase student participation and engagement.

Lewis also served as assistant principal at Summerville High School, where she led key academic initiatives, supported Professional Learning Communities, and strengthened transition supports for ninth-grade students.
